Enjoy full access to the entire Colchester Families Database of over 214,000 names that include dates, places, residences, occupations, notes, biographies, transcripts of Wills, Deeds, newspaper articles etc., pictures and maps (all as found). The sources are completely accessible as well. Prime Sources are always looked for and the major part of these were housed at the Colchester County Archives, Colchester County Probate & Deeds Offices of Truro, and the Nova Scotia Archives, Halifax. Historic publications, maps and old letters have also been used to “round out” family details as well. Contributions made by descendants have been a major addition and are sourced to the Contributor - many of these contributors descend from folks who left the county and settled in other parts of the world over the years.

The Colchester Families Database is constantly growing and will be updated online periodically. So, if you don’t see some of the details you are looking for on your first visit, keep checking back as new information is added to the database on a regular basis. Keep in mind that you may also contribute missing information for your own families as well.

INFORMATION FOR PERSONS UNDER THE AGE OF 21 YEARS is not visible in the Database when a name is accompanied with a birthdate - they are only recognized as "Living",  however full details are printed in any book publications.

IN FUTURE PLANS - Full access to a Cemeteries Database. Over the years my husband and I have photographed over 5500 gravemarkers – in some cases the entire cemetery... I haven’t had time to rename all the pictures individually by the name of the person yet, but as they have been kept organized by the Cemetery name you will be able to view each photo, hopefully finding the one you want.
