| The Cobequid Planters 250 Society
invites you to a proclamation and two special launches. Bill
Mills, Mayor of Truro, and
Bob Taylor, Mayor of the Municipality of the County of Colchester, will
proclaim 2010 and 2011 as the
Years of the Planters. The year 2011 marks the 250th anniversary of the arrival of English-speaking settlers from New England and Ireland along the Cobequid coast of Central and Northern Nova Scotia. Members of the Cobequid Planters 250 Society will also launch their new website and a public campaign to discover at least 250 wonderful, educational, historic, fun, entertaining and special activities to be enjoyed in communities along the Cobequid Shore during these anniversary years. |
